Albers created this necklace out of washers and ribbon,
cerca 1940. Though
Albers was better known for her geometric fabric designs, the necklace is a less conventional example of her creative genius. To me it demonstrates that good design is about recognizing the beauty in ordinary objects, such as simple cylindrical shapes.
