It seems so often that I hear people use budget as an excuse for poor design, but that shouldn't be the case. Take a look at the bedroom above as an example, most of the fabric that I used is burlap, one of the most humble fabrics you can buy, quite literally a potato sack!

I used the burlap to make the draped bedside tables (with silk used on the gusset), then again as the bed cover, and again on the sliding window panels. The simple fabric gives the room a great texture that is a little unexpected interest.

So the lesson here is don't let a small budget be your crutch, it can actually be the thing that forces you to think even more creatively.
